Every time Tom Wolf tried to raise income taxes and spending, Ryan stopped him. Every, single time. In all, Ryan helped save PA taxpayers billions of dollars.  He helped make government spending more accountable and more transparent by creating the PennWatch website that lets taxpayers see how and where their tax dollars are being spent. 

Ryan also stood up to the entrenched politicians and bureaucrats by passing public pension reform that shifts risk away from taxpayers and makes the system more like the public sector. 

Ryan stood up to the radicals who think defunding the police is a good idea. As Senator, he has always supported our law enforcement community - making sure our State Police have the funding to recruit and train the best talent, and providing local communities with grants and funding to support their police. Ryan has also voted to protect the 2nd Amendment and for Constitutional Carry to preserve the rights of citizens to protect themselves and their families against those who would harm them.

Ryan believes that making sure PA is a place people have the opportunity to work and the ability to provide for themselves and their families is one of the most important things he can do as Senator. That's why he has fought for commonsense reforms that stop Governor Wolf's radical agenda to increase taxes on job creating small businesses and increase red tape for employers.  He has also helped grow PA's energy industry for the jobs and spin-off jobs it provides. Ryan also stood up to Governor Wolf's disastrous and unfair COVID shutdowns that put too many business out of business and too many Pennsylvanians out of work.

Ryan believes strongly that education is the key to a brighter future for all our children,  but that educational decisions are best made by parents - not by government, bureaucrats and special interests. As Senator, he has stood up to the teachers' union to fight for greater accountability, provided increased funding for programs that provide more choice to parents and kids (especially those trapped in consistently failing districts), and ensured public schools have the resources needed to provide a quality education as well.

Ryan has worked for years to make voting easier and cheating harder. He has fought for Voter ID since 2012 - including recent attempts again vetoed by Governor Wolf - as well as efforts to clean up the state's voter registration database as the prime sponsor of litigation to audit the "SURE system." Ryan also called on our U.S. Congressman to not certify electors in the 2020 Presidential Election until the U.S. Supreme Court agreed to hear legal arguments over the unconstitutional actions taken by PA's Department of State.

Ryan shares the same conservative values as we do and, as Senator, has carried those values to Harrisburg. He has been a champion for pro-life causes, voting to increase limits on abortion. He has also stood strong for the Constitution, including standing up for our 1st Amendment Rights to free speech from censorship by big tech companies and voting to for Constitutional Carry to preserve our 2nd Amendment rights.
